SOAKED Southeast Asia
SOAKED is a visual journey through the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand, seen through my eyes and shaped by the moments, people, and landscapes that moved me along the way.
This book grew from a desire to connect more deeply with the land, explore the creativey of photography, and inspire others to travel.
Soaking 35mm film is a process where the film is immersed in a homemade solution either before shooting the roll or after it has been exposed. For this project, I used what each place offered: fruits, herbs, local waters, and whatever else the land provided. Together, these elements transformed the images into something alive, carrying the textures and colors of the regions themselves.
These photographs are a collaboration between film, environment, and experience.
This book is dedicated to the countries and people whose kindness, stories, and shared moments transformed this trip into a life-changing experience.
